Integration with Moodle
uReply has been integrated with Moodle. Teachers can students can join uReply sessions directly from Moodle. After class, the scores in uReply can be imported to the grade center of Moodle as well.

Add uReply as a Moodle activity
- Select a course → Click Turn editing on
- Click Add topics → Choose the number of sessions to be created → Add topics. You can skip this step if you already have created a topic.
- Click Add an activity or resource under the topic → Choose uReply
- Give the activity a name → Click Save and return to course
- Click on the uReply link. uReply will open in a new tab and be logged in automatically.
Tip
When students open the uReply link in Moodle, they will be brought to the student main page. Follow the steps in the next section to make them automatically join a session.

Link a uReply activity in Moodle to a uReply session
By linking a uReply activity in Moodle to a uReply session, students can join the same uReply session directly through Moodle.
- Follow the steps in the previous section to add the uReply activity. Click on the uReply link to launch uReply.
- Start a uReply session. It can be a Basic, Multi-item or Assessment session. In this example, we will show how to start an Assessment session. Click Assessment → Click Start to start a new session
- Click Start next to the desired question bank → Click Yes to confirm
- If you see the dialog box below, the Assessment session is created successfully. It will remain running and you may now return to the home page or close your browser. Now, the Assessment session is linked to the uReply activity in Moodle.
- When students click on the same uReply activity in Moodle, they will automatically join the uReply session.
- To end the Assessment session, go to Report → Choose Select under the uReply tab → Choose Assessment → Choose the session you want to end → Click View Live → Click End to end the session → Click Yes in the confirmation prompt. This step is not required for Basic or Multi-item sessions.
Tip
If you forgot the session number of the session linked to the uReply activity, check the Reminder at the top of the teacher home page.

Import scores from uReply to Moodle Grade Center
After the uReply session is ended, you may import the scores back to Moodle.
Note
Students must join the uReply session through the Moodle link for scores to be correctly imported to Moodle.
- In Moodle, click on the uReply activity you want to import grades for.
- Check the Reminder to find the session number associated with the Moodle activity.
- Go to Report → Choose Basic, Multi-item or Assessment → Find the correct Session number → Click the Import icon to import the scores to Moodle. Teachers may choose to import scores either by correct rate or by participation rate.
Note
Importing by correct rate will only work for multiple choice questions with correct answers specified in uReply question bank.
